Clean machining: rethinking oil mist control

Following the study on atmospheric emissions from mechanical industries, conducted by SNDEC on behalf of the Atmospheric Protection Plan to support industrial companies in their efforts to improve air quality, this workshop will focus on reviewing the progress made in collective R&D on the mechanisms of oil mist generation in machining and bar turning processes. It will provide an up-to-date overview of knowledge on emission sources, the parameters of the processes involved and the interactions between machines, tools, cutting fluids and machining conditions. It will also present recent innovations in equipment, treatment solutions and cutting fluids aimed at improving the quality of atmospheric emissions from machining processes. This workshop is organised by CETIM & SNDEC.

2 p.m.: Conference: "The keys to integrating people with disabilities into the workplace"

A lever for skills and performance for industrial SMEs

This conference and round table discussion is aimed particularly at SMEs and industrial companies facing major challenges in recruitment, knowledge transfer and sustainable performance.

In a context of tension over technical skills, the integration of people with disabilities is an opportunity that remains under-exploited. Often perceived as complex or restrictive, it is nevertheless based on proven support mechanisms and solid partnerships with specialised actors.

The aim of this round table is to provide concrete and accessible insights to executives, HR managers and industrial managers, drawing on feedback from the field and solutions tailored to the constraints of SMEs.

Beyond regulatory obligations, this conference will highlight pragmatic approaches that are compatible with the economic and organisational constraints of industrial SMEs, and demonstrate that inclusion can become a real lever for competitiveness.

Speakers:

  • Florian ELWOOD, MESSIDOR
  • Caroline GOURDONAAPEI Épanou – HORIZON device
  • Grégory CHALLAMEL, ADTP
  • Marc CUSSACUNEA

This round table is aimed at industrial SMEs, executives, HR directors, production managers and contractors who wish to identify concrete, secure and appropriate solutions for integrating disability into their business strategy.

5:30 p.m.: Machines Production - The programme analyses the news

One of our long-standing media partners, Machines Production magazine, will be hosting its television studio in the workshop area - Hall B1.

On Thursday, Machines Production L’Émission will address the issue of workplace inclusivity for people with disabilities. To explore this topic, Jérôme Meyrand will welcome a representative from an organisation specialising in industrial subcontracting that facilitates the employment of people with disabilities. With testimonials from an employee and a manager of a bar turning company, the programme will explore all aspects of the employability of these atypical profiles, particularly in the context of the OETH (Obligation to Employ Disabled Workers). A rich and concrete debate will ensue on the topic of inclusion in industry.

Presented by Jérôme Meyrand, editor-in-chief of Machines Production magazine

Location: Workshop area - Hall B1
