On Friday 21 November 2025, Rochexpo brought together several journalists in Paris to present the main themes of SIMODEC 2026, a major event dedicated to bar turning and precision machining. This press conference provided an opportunity to share the vision, new features and highlights that will mark the next edition.
After celebrating the show's 70th anniversary at the previous edition, SIMODEC is confirming its focus on bar turning and precision machining, while opening its doors to complementary trades and technologies. This development is part of a desire to bring together a broader ecosystem, ranging from specialised subcontracting to advanced machining solutions.
The presentation also highlighted the Innovation Awards, whose expansion reflects the renewed dynamism of the exhibition. These awards will recognise the expertise, creativity and quality of the exhibiting companies, in particular through the new Subcontracting Award.
Among the highlights of the programme, particular attention will be paid to the theme of inclusion in industry, and in particular to promoting talent from atypical backgrounds or with invisible disabilities. Round tables, conferences and feedback sessions will offer concrete keys to better understanding these issues and supporting companies in their management practices.
Combining innovation, expertise, responsibility and openness, SIMODEC 2026 promises to be a rich and unifying event, serving the entire precision engineering sector.
