As Sales Director at Le Messager, he was with us from the very beginning of the SIMODEC Newsletter, and we greatly appreciated his professionalism and humanity.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Philippe Vachoux, President of Rochexpo.
A promising edition
In a difficult international climate, it is always somewhat illusory to predict a bright future for a trade show such as SIMODEC.
And yet that is what we did, together with our partners, at the Exhibitors' Club meeting on 21 January (see below).
Our first reason for satisfaction lies in the quality of the entries for the SIMODEC 2026 Innovation Awards.
This year, six French companies, five Swiss companies, three German companies, two Japanese companies, one British company, one Israeli company and one Canadian company have been nominated to compete for the Innovation Awards.
This international diversity reflects the global reach of precision machining at our exhibition, your exhibition.
The jury members, who reviewed the applications and interviewed the candidates last week, unanimously emphasised the high technological content of the innovations presented.
The productivity, quality and improvements they can bring to business processes are such that no predictions can be made as to the jury's final assessment of the six categories.
Like you, dear exhibitors and visitors, I will have to wait until Monday 2 March at 6pm to meet you and discover the results with you.
At Rochexpo, we are eager to find out. We are preparing this ceremony with great pleasure in welcoming you.
And, to keep you better informed, this newsletter will be published weekly until the opening of the exhibition. Keep an eye out for it every Thursday!
Philippe Vachoux, President of Rochexpo
