With GEO U20 and GM1 sintered inserts for boring and threading tools, Horn solves one of the biggest challenges in small-diameter internal machining: chip control. Their cutting geometries are designed to break up chips from lead-free alloys or exotic materials, preventing them from becoming entangled. The innovative process developed by the carbide manufacturer incorporates a green sintered geometry on a mini tool that has never been achieved before.
