Conference organized by SNDEC and CSM

The sector of bar turning shows a very high technical activity which consists in machining mechanical parts for various markets. The history of the sector shows the ability of companies and employees to evolve according to technological developments, competition and specific demands: automotive, aeronautical, health, watchmaking... Bar turning companies are a perfect example of the anticipatory capacity that a sector must have in the face of major changes, in particular related to the decline of the diesel engine.
In this context, the CSM Haute-Savoie and its partners, including SNDEC, with the Observatoire de la Métallurgie, have wished to have a better knowledge of the economic activity of the actors of the sector in France, to better analyze the market, anticipate its developments, and put in place a concrete action plan to support the development of the sector.
